Thanks for waiting on this week's episode!

This week, Sam & Ralph discuss an underappreciated satire of American violence--Series 7: The Contenders (trailer). Filmed as a reality show, this 2001 film follows 6 people who are forced to fight to the death by the fascist American Entertainment Complex. It's also a black comedy!

We both really recommend watching Series 7: The Contenders. Especially, if you remember American reality television in the early aughts. The entire movie can be found on YouTube here: MOVIE. This is not our link, so do not get mad at us.

We also discuss the incredible work of Scarecrow Video at the top of the episode. If you'd like to take advantage of their new RENTAL BY MAIL program (especially now that Netflix DVD's are dead), you can sign-up here: Scarecrow Video. We highly recommend checking them out, especially if you're in the U.S.

Content Warning: the movie and our discussion talk about suicide multiple times. Since this is a dark comedy, we understand if that's not your flavor of conversation.

RIYL: Battle Royale, The Hunger Games, The Running Man, Punishment Park
